Best Vape Pens for CBD and EJuice

There are so many vape pens available out there that it can be intimidating for a beginner. Not to worry, we’ve done some deep digging and narrowed it down to our top 3 best vape pens for CBD vape juice. Any one of these will be a solid choice—whatever your budget!

Buy Legit and Stay Safe

Amidst the loud anxiety over vaping-related deaths in the US, it’s easy to lose track of an important distinction: Canada and the UK, where people vape even more than in the US, have not reported similar problems by a wide margin.  MaryJane Farmer advises you that part of the problem in the US, and maybe all of the problem, is due to people using sketchy vape juices or THC or CBD bought from sketchy sources.  While smoking is always going to be a problem for your lungs (cigarettes, e-cigs and vapes all count as smoking), MaryJane says to please buy your smoke of choice from a legitimate source and don’t buy sketchy products from Asia especially.  Also, if you grow your own, you can be a lot more confident that what you are smoking is safe and unadulterated.

3 Best Vape Pens 2019

There’s a reason why the Pax series of vaporizers are among the best sellers in the world. This is a quality vape pen that will be an excellent choice for CBD vape oil.

Pax 3 Portable Vaporizer from Ploom

$75 OFF PAX 3 GLOSSY COMPLETE KIT. No coupon code. Limited quantities, available while supplies last.

The Pax 3 is extremely easy to use, (which makes it great for beginners), but still provides the performance that more experienced vapers are looking for. It has a slim and simple design, with just a single button and flower-petal shaped LED giving you all the functionality you need.

The battery life is impressive, and you can easily control the temperature to dial it in to your preferred settings. The durability and build quality of the Pax 3 makes the higher price tag acceptable to most.

It comes with a maintenance kit, making cleaning (when necessary) much easier.

And let’s be honest folks: the Pax 3 looks cool! You make a statement when you pull one of these out of your pocket, fully loaded with your favorite CBD vape juice.

(The Pax 3 is also a fantastic portable dry herb vape. We’ve reviewed it as a dry herb vape here.)

DaVinci Ascent Portable Vaporizer

DaVinci Ascent VaporizerNormally when you talk about vape pens for beginners, you might not mention the DaVinci Ascent. It’s considered a “luxury” vape, and has the price tag to match. But we think there are some features on the DaVinci Ascent that make it a good choice for beginners too.

First would be the 3-hour battery life. That’s far superior to most other vape pens on the market, and makes this more flexible; you can charge it overnight and not have to worry about battery life again for days!

The vapor path is made of zirconia ceramic, a very high-grade ceramic approved as safe by the FDA (it’s used in a variety of products like dentures), and the rest of the materials used in the DaVinci Ascent are likewise impressive. The build quality is excellent.

If you’re a beginner and you purchase the DaVinci Ascent, you won’t need to buy another vaporizer for a long, long time. You can even customize the design to look exactly how you want it. To top things off, and we can’t stress how important this is, the DaVinci Ascent comes with a 10-year warranty.

Beginner CBD vapers often go for a cheap vape pen for their first one… but it won’t last long and you’ll be buying a better one soon enough. We feel like it’s often better to start with a quality vape, and that’s definitely what you get with the DaVinci Ascent.

(The Ascent isn’t just for liquids. Check out our review of the Ascent as a dry herb vape here.)

HoneyStick BeeKeeper

For some beginners that aren’t yet sold on the whole CBD vape oil thing, price is going to be the biggest factor. You’d rather dip your toes in before dropping $200 or more on a nicer CBD vape pen. That’s no problem! The perfect CBD vape pen for folks in this category is the HoneyStick BeeKeeper. You can pick one of these up for less than $40.

It’s very discreet, easy to operate, has solid reviews, and has a variety of accessories available to “upgrade” if you’d like.

No, it doesn’t have the feel, nor the bells and whistles of the more expensive vape pens in this list… but it’s going to be a perfect introduction to the CBD vape world.

Reminder from MaryJane Farmer

There you go! Three great vape pens for CBD vape juice that will work great for a beginner.  Because there has been a lot of anxiety about deaths from vaping liquids, MaryJane Farmer wants to remind you–only use product that is from a legitimate and reputable store.  Vaping dry herb or your own homemade oil is probably preferable to buying an unknown product.  And stay away from any sketchy Asian products.  We have a whole post about how to vape and stay safe–Canada and the UK have not had problems like the US.

  1. Great post. I’m still on the railing whether vaping is “safe” of not. I do recognize that fascination and bioavailability is optimal with inhale in CBD, but the risks are field back a lot of people.

    1. Great and timely question Sheli. There has been a new recognition that the epidemic of vaping pneumonia was almost certainly and perhaps exclusively due to the adulteration of vape juices with Vitamin E in order to increase the volume and the profit from selling the juice. I just updated thi article with the latest information.
The larger question is whether it is safe to vape at all. The answer seems to be: “safe as compared to what.” Certainly it is never “safe” to inhale heated chemicals into your lungs–basically that is like using yourself as a guinea pig in a chemistry experiment. That is as true for vapes as it is for cigarettes. But when you ask the question “as compared to what?”, the sellers and manufacturers of vape products have an answer that seems to be accurate, at least for now. Their answer is that vapes with marijuana or vape juice are safer than cigarettes with nicotine. Some even claim that vaping nicotine is safer than nicotine in cigarettes because of the absence of the tars, etc. Frankly, all of these arguments seem like splitting hairs to me. For myself, growing my own marijuana (so I know it is free of unnatural chemicals) and then making sure it is highly potent (so I only have to take a few tokes) seems like the obviously less dangerous route to take. And it tastes better when I grow it. So that’s my view but I would love to hear anyone else’s point of view as well. Good karma to you and good growing! MaryJane
