A Grow Tent is, without doubt, the best option for indoor growing. And, if you are unfortunately still in one of the states that do not permit homegrown marijuana, the best way to keep your production under wraps (pun intended).
Buying a new or a replacement grow tent is an investment and an important starting point for a successful crop.
One of the first things to consider is where to place the tent and how much space you can allocate. Other considerations will be ventilation, odor extraction, humidity, watering systems, and ambient temperatures, to name but a few.
If you have options a basement or cellar is better than a spare room as the temperature will be more stable and unaffected by seasonal changes. Venting may also be easier and any watering accidents won’t end up flooding a lower room in the house.
If you have no other alternative than a spare room you need to consider the potential requirements and risks and make sure you cater for these before deciding where in the room to place a tent. Far easier to do this before you start than wanting or needing to move it partway through a growing cycle.
Having decided what size you need now comes the decision as to which make or model to purchase. There are a wide variety on the market at varying prices, and quality. And of course, if this is your first venture there are all the peripheral items you will need.
If you are replacing an existing set up then maybe the only decision you will need to make is whether you want a new grow tent the same size as the one you are replacing or if you want one somewhat larger or smaller. Hopefully, the existing equipment will fit inside the new tent and function as before.
However, if this is your first foray into growing at home you will need all the ancillary equipment as well as the tent itself. This can be confusing for a new grower. What size and type of lighting will be needed, what size carbon filter to use, how much and what size tubing, what type of fan is best, etc.
Fortunately, it is now possible to purchase a complete grow tent kit with all the ancillary equipment included and made to measure for the size of the tent. Not only does this save a lot of time researching the appropriate items but they all arrive at the same time meaning you can go straight to work setting up everything without waiting for anything else to arrive at a later time.
